Vintage Mexican Silver & Pearl Bracelet 970 Silver Antonio Pineda Design
This gorgeous Modernist 970 Silver & Pearl Bracelet was designed by Antonio Pineda and although it does not have his Antonio Crown mark it is hallmarked CM 970 with the eagle 121, a mark often found on his jewelry. According to Billie Hougart's book "Mexican Silver Hallmarks", he would farm out work to other silversmiths to produce his designs. They would include their own stamp on the pieces they produced for him and CM is listed as one of those silversmiths. This bracelet measures 7 /14" long by 5/8" wide and weighs a heavy 76.5 grams of silver, has a secure box clasp and attached safety chain. It is in good vintage.
Condition with only minor age related wear and tarnish and all the Pearls are secure in their settings. Hallmarked "Taxco Mexico, CM 970" with the eagle 121.
