The bracelet is a classic design, similar to Spratling's "dimpled dots" and quite heavy for its more narrow width. The bracelet closes with a well working hook clasp and also has the additional security of a safety chain. The history of the Los Castillo workshops and the famous men and women that have been associated with the name is fascinating. In the beginnings of the silver industry in Taxco, Los Castillo was very, very influential as they still are today. The workshop was started by Antonio Castillo and his brothers in 1939. As a side note, Antonio was married at one time to Margot van Voorhies Carr also known as Margot de Taxco.
The work produced at Los Castillo is considered to be of the finest quality, design and craftsmanship. Los Castillo pieces will continue to be investment pieces for the discerning collector.
