Material Sterling Silver (980 is a bit higher grade than sterling). This necklace is a beautiful example of early Mexican jewerly. The links are fairly narrow so the necklace adjusts and lays nicely and flush when worn even though the piece is weighty with a substantial feel. The design shows Art Deco influences and has a floral quality. There are no dents or irregularities to the silver, no signs of repair and the silver has a wonderful patina that highlights the silverwork. Overall this is a well made and striking, sterling silver necklace, that was made in Mexico during the 1940s that is in Excellent condition.
